About Us

Founded in 2001, the American Beauty Institute has been a leader in beauty education for over two decades. We specialize in training individuals for careers in Cosmetology, Esthetics, Nail Specialization, and Waxing. Our state-of-the-art facility is located within walking distance of Penn Station, easily accessible via major subway and bus lines. We are proud to be licensed by the New York State Education Department and are committed to helping students achieve their professional goals, from mastering their skills to passing their State Board Examinations.

Programs We Offer

• Hairdressing/Cosmetology
  Prepares students for entry-level roles in the hairdressing industry, covering salon regulations, styling, cutting, and New York State Cosmetology Laws. Offered in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Korean.
• Esthetics
  Teaches skin care techniques, ethics, and New York State laws to prepare students for their Esthetics License and a career in skin care. Offered in English, Chinese, and Korean.
• Nail Specialist
  Focuses on nail care, design, and salon safety, providing the knowledge needed to work as a professional Nail Technician. Offered in English, Korean, Spanish, Japanese, and Chinese.
• Waxing Specialist
