About Us

Lorenzo Walker Technical College (LWTC) has a rich history of serving Southwest Florida’s educational and career-training needs. Originally established in 1974 as the Collier County Vocational Technical Center, LWTC has evolved in name and scope, becoming the Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology in 1997, and finally, Lorenzo Walker Technical College in 2015. Our programs are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and are designed to provide rigorous, relevant, and hands-on education across a variety of career fields. In 2009, LWTC expanded its mission to include Lorenzo Walker Technical High School, enabling high school juniors and seniors to participate in technical training programs alongside their academic studies. Today, with a state-of-the-art campus and dedicated faculty, we are committed to equipping students with the academic and technical skills they need for lifelong success.
