About Us

Founded in 1962, The English Center (TEC) is part of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools and has been serving the community for over six decades. Originally established to meet the needs of refugees arriving in South Florida, TEC has evolved to offer diverse career and technical education programs. With a focus on workforce readiness and adult general education, TEC provides opportunities for personal and professional growth. The 380,000 square foot campus houses nearly 200 faculty and staff, committed to providing students with the skills they need to succeed in today’s competitive world.

Programs We Offer

• Cosmetology (1,200 Hours)
  This comprehensive program provides students with the technical and creative skills required to work in the cosmetology field, including hair styling, cutting, coloring, skin care, and nail treatments.Learn More
